If a trade doesn’t move forward, it’s usually due to one of a few common causes. Work through these in order.
Checklist
- Verify your Trade URL is set and valid.
- Check your Steam inventory privacy settings (private inventories can’t be read).
- Make sure the items you selected are tradable (Steam may lock some items temporarily).
- Check Transactions for the current status and any updates.
Pro tip
If you recently changed Steam security settings, Steam may temporarily restrict trades.
